Presbyterian Church h of Ghana honours 30 individuals for supporting the Church

Covenant Congregation Of Presby Church Dedicates New Building



The Presbyterian Church of Ghana (PCG) in has honoured 30 individuals for their immense contributions towards the development of the Church.

At the maiden National Awards day held at the Eternity Congregation at Apenkwa in the Ga West Presbytery of the PCG, citations were presented to the individuals for supporting the Church financially and in the areas of education, health, evangelism, social services among others.

The awardees included church members, ministers of the Gospel and others who are not church members but whose works have had a positive impact on the PCG’S activities.

They included Rev Bright Lee, Mr. and Mrs. Lartey, Rev Emmanuel K. Sackey, Nana Yeboah O. Appiah, Mr. Isaac Opare Addo, Madam Beatrice Ayerson and Madam Joana Ayerson, Mr. David Christmas Halleluiah Amoako and Mr. George Diabene.

Others are Mr. and Mrs. Ofori Boadu, Nana Nkansah Boadu Ayeboafo, Dr.  Kwadwo Antwi Adjei, Nana Okoamre Acheampong II, Mr. George Kumi Brobbey, Dr.  Stephen Saforo Yirenkyi, Nana Antwi Drakwa, Mr and Mrs Ofosuhene Appenteng and Mr Ebenezer Sarpong.

The rest are Air Vice Marshall Nene Mastebi Nagai, Madam Gloria Rego, Mrs. Mary Asantewa Twum, Nicholos Anum Lomotey, Madam Regina Lartey and Dr Richard Anthony.

Six children were also honoured and presented with cash prize for emerging as winners of the 2016 PCG Moderator’s Essay Competition.

The Acting Moderator of the General Assembly of the PCG, Rev Dr Victor Okoe Abbey preached the sermon. He commended the awardees for championing the work of God and urged others, especially youth to emulate their good works by dedicating their lives to God.
