Akyem Abuakwa Presbytery elects Rev Dr Seth Kissi as Chairperson
Reverend Dr Seth Kissi, 51, has been elected the Chairperson of the Akyem Abuakwa Presbytery of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana for the next five years.

Rev. Dr Kissi, is a senior Lecturer at the Trinity Theological Seminary, where he teaches Greek Language and New Testament Studies. He succeeds Rev. Ansa-Peasah, whose tenure of as Presbytery Chairperson will end on August 31 this year.

Rev. Dr Kissi is a Theologian Scholar from University of Pretoria, South Africa, where he obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), Master of Theology (MTh), from Trinity Theological Seminary (TTS) Legon, Bachelor of Divinity, Trinity Theological Seminary, Diploma of Ministry, Trinity Theological Seminary, Diploma of Theology, External, University of Ghana, Legon, Teacher's Certificate "A," Mount Mary Training College,

GCE "O" Levels, Private and Middle School Leaving Certificate, Kade L/A Middle School

Rev Dr Kissi, was elected at the just ended Akyem Abuakwa Presbytery Session, at the Bunso Cocoa College in May this year.

Speaking in an interview just after his election, Rev Dr Kissi thanked the conference for electing him as the new Chairperson and also thanked the out-going Chairperson for holding the mantle for five years.

He asked the Church members to support him as they supported the out-going Chairperson to be able to steer the affairs of the Presbytery.

Rev Kissi also commended the out-going Presbytery Chairperson for his dedication, commitment and exemplary leadership style, which had made the Presbytery one of the best in the church.

He said he would work hard to strengthen the local congregation and that of the districts to be able to discharge their functions effectively. He will also operate an open-door policy to welcome all views.
