Sefwi Presbytery Elects New Chairperson
The Reverend Michael Ayeh Otu, Oforikrom District Minister of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, has been elected as the new Chairperson of the Sefwi Presbytery of the Church for a five-year term at the just ended Presbytery Conference held at Bibiani.

The Rev. Otu takes over from Rev. Amanamah Kobbinah Assuah, whose term of office expires in August this year.

The 61 year old Rev Otu is a product of the Trinity Theological College, now Trinity Theological Seminary in Accra where he obtained the Diploma in Theology and Bachelor of Divinity in 1993 and 2002 respectively.

He was commissioned into the Holy Ministry of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana in 1993 and ordained in 1995.

Rev Otu was first posted to Aflao Boarder Unity Church in 1993 as a Resident Minister. He served as District Minister for Akosombo from 1996 to 1999, District Minister for Bolgatanga, 2002-2007 and November 2008 to August 2009 District Minister for Akropong Akuapem.

He was posted to Germany as a Resident Minister of Ebenezer Congregation in Dusseldorf from 2009 to 2013 and later as District Minister for Germany from 2013 to 2015.

Currently he is the District Minister for Oforikrom in the Asante Presbytery since 2015.

Rev. Otu in an interview thanked the delegates for the confidence reposed in him and the out-going Presbytery Clerk, Chairperson for his dedication and exemplary leadership.

He said he would continue to work hard for the development of the church.

He is married to Mrs. Adelaide Ayeh Out, a caterer by profession.
